DESCRIPTION:2026 Borkum Dune Cup: First Horse Show on Borkum\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEquestrian Debut on the Island\n\n\n\nA new highlight is set to take place on Borkum in June 2026: With the Borkum Dune Cup\, an official equestrian performance competition will be held for the first time in the history of the island and the riding club. From June 19 to 21\, the equestrian facility on Borkum will become a gathering place for riders from all over Germany. The tournament marks the kickoff of a long-term event series designed to strengthen equestrian sports on the island in the long run.  \n\n\n\nInspiration from established equestrian events\n\n\n\n\nThe model for this initiative is the development on Norderney\, where equestrian events have been successfully held for over 40 years as part of the Beachside Classics. The Borkum Dune Cup pursues a similar vision: a high-quality equestrian tournament with growing appeal and a firm place in the event calendar.  \n\n\n\n\nTournament Schedule at a Glance\n\n\n\n\nFriday: Junior Competitions and Youth Championship \nThe first day of the tournament is all about the next generation. Four events are scheduled\, including special competitions for children and teenagers. The highlight will be the crowning of the youth champion.   \nSaturday and Sunday: Dressage competitions in classes A through M \nThis weekend will feature dressage competitions in classes A through M. Riders in the respective performance classes will compete against one another and showcase their athletic skills. In addition\, the club champion will be determined.  \n\n\n\n\nParticipation and Call for Entries\n\n\n\n\nThe official entry notice will be published shortly on FN Nennung Online. There\, participants will find all the important information about registration\, as well as details on travel\, lodging\, and stall rentals for horses.  \nThe registration deadline is June 1\, 2026. Riders from all over Germany who meet the required performance level are eligible to participate.  \n\n\n\n\nA New Event for Borkum\n\n\n\n\nThe Borkum Dune Cup adds a sporting highlight to Borkum’s calendar of events and appeals to both participants and visitors. The tournament combines equestrian sports\, nature\, and the island’s unique atmosphere\, offering the perfect setting for a special experience in June.  \nThis inaugural tournament lays the foundation for the long-term development of equestrian sports on Borkum—with the goal of establishing the Borkum Dune Cup as a permanent fixture on the equestrian calendar.
